HEAT WAVE WEDNESDAY!

93F and humid out there. I slept in, an extra 30 minutes because I knew we were not gonna be spending a lot of time out in the yard this morning.
And when I got up and opened the window, there was condensation on the outside. Same deal with the windows on the kitchen door!
Both garbage bins were also empty, which is normally not the case this early, so I assume the guys at Groot started hours earlier today to avoid the heat.
With the humidity, it feels like 106F, and that's before noon!
They're saying the high will be 95, but I wouldn't be surprised if it hits 98 or 99 this afternoon.
Still, today is likely to be pretty slow at Cloud.
And I don't wanna speculate about what tomorrow will be like, when the kids come back.
The central air, and the two window AC units; upstairs, and here in the back room, have been running at full blast all night.
And it is pretty comfortable in the house, but there's always the specter of a power outage in heat like this.
The last time that happened was July of 2019, late at night, after two or three days of 90sF.
So, it doesn't happen often, but... I'm still spooked by those power bumps we had last month.
Well, heatwise, outside, today was pretty bad.
It got up to 97F and it just stayed hot.
It took until it was star dark for it to go down below 90, but even now, it's still 82F, and the humidity's still a bear too.
You know it's hot when you're outside at midnight, and there's a breeze, and even the breeze feels like hot steam billowing over you.
Inside the building, thankfully, it was not humid at all, and though some areas were pretty warm, others areas were cooler.
There were more teachers in the building today, and they all stayed pretty late, but the work load was still relatively light.
My bathrooms didn't really need cleaning, but I did a full job on all three pairs of them in the first two hours of the day... just to see how sweaty it would be... but it wasn't too bad.
I think I'll survive tomorrow just fine.
I haven't been able to access the cameras from work for two days now, but the repeater seems to be fine, and I'm not getting any texts from the rebooter either.
So this tells me that the cameras themselves just can't deal with it being this hot outside for such a prolonged period.
Tonight, I've unplugged all three. I'll let them chill tomorrow and Friday, and hopefully get them back online over the weekend, when it's back down into the low 80s.
Also, the assorted spade connectors came tonight, and it looks like there's a size that will work with the soviet rotary phone microphone.
Okay, that's it for today.
