Took me all night, but I managed to get images for all the tracks on, Lost Cause.
The one above is for the opening song, Winter Long, and I love it because this is who the guy from the song, Aurora, at the end of the previous album, has now become...

That guy asks, "why do they call this the city of light?" And after bemoaning things, says, "Aurora, nobody loves you, except for me."
But a couple years later, he's become this guy... and we'll post him again here...

Who is saying things like, "To you, i'm just a shadowy silhouette. Just a cat in a hat, with a lit cigarette,
singin a song, as i'm walking along, in a very very down town."
And his purpose is to, so does speak, be the light, in a dark place.
He says, "I desire to bring hope to bear, upon the fire of your deep despair." but he's no longer under any illusion that this will be easy or fun.
He says, "These days I'm a figure lost in the fog. I'm a freaky fright. Just a scurvy dog. Singin' a song, as I'm walking along, in a very very down town."
Because when you're living in a dystopia... things like hope are seen as very subversive.
But after some different words of encouragement, he makes the promise, "I won't leave you alone, until the spring. I'll hang around, all winter long."
Which is really the only thing you can do, to back up a thing like hope. You can't just say, "cheer up!" and then disappear.
I decided to stick with the anime generator for the, Lost Cause, images, but this time, instead of putting, "Picasso," at the end of every prompt, I put, "Chagall."
And while it certainly did NOT make anything look like a Chagall... which are very weird and dreamlike, it did set them apart from the Picasso prompts... though they were also fairly unique from one another.

This one was an unexpectedly good depiction of domestic life with a young couple.

This was was just gorgeous!

This one was great!.. because it rather reveals this female character as being the foil to the guy who opens the album... kinda the catwoman to his batman... which makes sense to me now, but I never saw it that way before.

And this one really took me by surprise, because it didn't have anything to do with my prompt, but it ended up working a lot better for the song, Astral Plane, than what I was going for.
This is the final song on the album, and fairly upbeat, so it's fitting to have the spring flowers here, as spring is not depicted in any other image... and the opening promise was to hang around until the spring.
So, today I'm gonna get the lyrics and hashtags in, for, Lost Cause, and move it from the playlist section to the album section.
And then I only have one more to do!
When did I even start in with all this?.. Erm... a little over a week ago, because I was finishing the last image for, Coffeehouse Boyfriend, last weekend.
So this is good news! I'll only have spent two weeks on this, when it's all said and done.
To get the lyrics, I've been listening to these tracks, and last night I re-played, Closer to You again, and can now tell that... the mike I'm using is NOT as good as the old Cardioid XLR mike I used to use.
And the ending of the song is still kinda lackluster... it needs a guitar or some other kind of oomph at the end.
So... I'll be working those issues out, when I get back into the present day studio.
Meanwhile, however, I was happy to see 13 plays over the past two days... mostly on songs that have not yet been spotlighted on SoundCloud, but only talked about here, in this blog!
So, that's nice to know... that I do have some readers... who have to be coming through the link in my TikTok bio.
But if you're one of them, don't worry!.. I don't know who you are!
This blog itself has no way to show me who's visited.
And, though TikTok will tell me when I've had a profile view, it doesn't say who did or did not hit a link there.
And that's fine. I'm just happy to be seeing a few plays on these old tracks.
