Above, is how far I got with the walk this evening after work.
I found, fairly quickly, that nothing beats just pulling weeds out, one by one, roots and all... just like anybody's mother would tell you.
Working in the shade of the early evening, I just took my time, for 90 minutes, on my knees... getting dirt & litter out of the way with a brush, and plucking these little plants out one by one.
You can't grab them by the handfull... it doesn't work. You've gotta get right down to the base of each stem and pluck... one by one.
A very zen activity... and it felt logical to get the edges first. And I did use the turf knife to cut back the encroaching grass on the borderlines.
But I won't be using that crevice tool until after all the weeds are plucked out.
And I think the only sane way to perform that step, is with my wet/dry vac plugged into the nearby, outside outlet... and vacuum up the dirt I'm digging out of the cracks, as I go.
I need to get down at least half an inch, to an inch between all those pavers, for the polymeric sand to make a good, solid barrier to future ant hills and plant growth.
But with the existing weeds gone... and with the crevice tool and a vacuum... it should be a two or three hour project.
Just clear out the cracks... sweep in the sand... and hit it all with the hose.
In other news, Peter, the repeater has been up and running now for over 48 hours with no issues!..
It got up to 86F this afternoon, and... no text from the rebooter! It didn't overheat!
And the cameras stayed up too!.. I checked them several times while at work!
This one, the furthest away, is getting consistently 60% signal or better! So that's great!
The whole system's performing better than it ever has!.. and the only difference is that Dad's computer back here, is no longer talking to that repeater.
No word from BMO about the documents I sent them on Tuesday night.
I guess I'll start calling and bugging people for confirmation that they were recieved, starting tomorrow.
Last thing I did today of any note was give Natalie a manual, six minute bubbling...
It hasn't rained since Friday, so she was well due for a watering.
There is some possible rain on Saturday and Sunday, but it might come to nothing.
That's pretty much it, for my Thursday.
But I am still freshly cue-balled from Monday night!
