snoozefestaudio82F and sunny this afternoon, with moderate breezes, and I'm writing to you from the new computer in Dad's room.
Still using the back room monitor, but last night I got the machine online.
And after installing the updates, I wanted to leave it run overnight.
I bought the FL Studio software, but I'm having issues with getting the file. I may have to call customer support.

I'd like to mow today, but that can't happen until about 7PM.
So, I'm thinking of going to Home depot to get some 1X4s for the firepit cap form, and maybe looking into a few other things.

Wow!.. This turned into a day of bullshit!
First, I tried to resolve the problem with the install, by calling customer support at Sweetwater, where I bought the software.
They said, just take the activation code they sent me over to Image Line, who has the actual software.
And I told them, no... according to Image Line, I haven't purchased any software to activate.
So Sweetwater said, well... just download the free version of FL Studio from Image Line and then activate it.
but Image Line doesn't offer a free version of FL Studio Fruity Edition, which is what I bought.
So I installed the free version of plain FL Studio, and when I went to activate it, Image Line said... Nope! This is not the software that key is for!
But as I said, there is no free download of Fruity Edition.
Image Line can SELL it to me!
But then, what the fuck did I pay Sweetwater for? I paid them for a useless activation code!

So, in frustration, I gave up and got in the car to go to Home Depot.
But on the way there, I thought... why not go buy a monitor at Best Buy? I'm out in the car already anyway!
So I bought a $125.00 USB monitor at Best Buy... because I was being cheep!
Then, on the way back, I bought some 1X4s at Home Depot.

When I got home, I saw that the neighbors were having a big outdoor Father's Day celebration... which meant mowing the lawn was completely off the table!
Then I went inside and tried to get the USB monitor to work... and wasted over two hours on it, because it's a peice of hot garbage!
I had to have the back room monitor hooked up to see what was going on with the USB monitor... for which Windows could not find drivers.
It came with a CD, but... I have no goddam CD drive in here! And why would I?
So I had to take the back room monitor back into the back room to fire up that computer, put in the CD, and copy it's contents onto my external drive.
Then I had to take everything back in here, hook it all up, get the drivers off the external drive, and install them.
After that, all the USB monitor would do is show me the desktop, and the task bar. But no shortcuts on the desktop. And if I opened anything, it did not show on that monitor.
It didn't even show the mouse cursor!
Literally all it showed was the desktop and the task bar!
So I fucking took ALL OF IT into the back room to see if I could get the USB monitor to work with Dad's older computer... installing the drivers from the CD drive as they should be.
But it did the exact same thing back there!.. just the desktop and taskbar... no shortcuts and nothing else... no menus, would not show apps opening up. No mouse. NOTHING!
So I took ALL OF IT back into Dad's room, and was trying to put the USB monitor back into the box to maybe return it, but... it had come with a foam carry case that was on the floor... and just as I realized that...
FUCKING SNOOP TOOK A LONG PISS ON IT!
He has never done anything like that before EVER!
I checked all three litterboxes in the house and they are all clean. The cats have been going outside for months! They never pee inside on anything else, either!
But Snoop saw that foam carry case on the floor and immediately soaked the fuck out of it with pee!
So there went returning the hot garbage USB monitor! I'd already thrown away the receipt outside the store anyway, but without the stupid foam case, forget it!

I went outside to calm my troubled mind, but then, staring at the fire pit, I realized I didn't buy enough 1X4!
I bought three six foot lengths of 1X4, thinking I'd only need two, and got one extra.
But I don't only need two! I need four!
I double checked with a tape measure to confirm this!

So, this truly was a wasted day!
I still have to go to Home Depot again!
I blew $125.00 on hot garbage that Snoop peed on.
I blew $100.00 on a useless activation code from a third party vendor, who doesn't actually have the software... isn't responsible if the true vendor doesn't honor it... and does not allow refunds.
So... I'm REALLY paying the, Idiot Tax on this recording studio project!
Oh yeah, and I broke a good monitor yesterday, bringing it downstairs!
And that monitor coming from Ebay is in the inept hands of FedEx, who texted me yesterday saying there's been a delay...
And if you look at the tracking, it's just like it was when they lost Natalie back in May... all yellow with and exclamation point... with the last known location of my package being in the middle of Texas!
