Computer Arrives

snoozefestaudio68F out there this evening. Wasn't much warmer, earlier. Every day lately, is cooler and breezier than they're forecasting.
I slept in so late I didn't have time to start an entry before I left for work.
But while I was out there with the pets, a FedEx truck rolled up and a guy delivered my computer... four days early!
It came with a mouse and a keyboard so... the corded mouse & keyboard I bought will just be spares.
I haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet, and the monitor won't be here until Tuesday, so... I'll probably grab the monitor from upstairs and get it going tonight.
And I'll take photos at that point.

I had a fairly productive Friday at work, but there was time to do an InstaCart order.
On the way home, I finally filled the 1GAL gas can for the wood chipper.
My groceries arrived minutes before I pulled in the driveway.
I walked the dog and fed her... put the groceries away... took out a bunch of garbage... and now I'm doing this!

Well, that was kind of a disaster...
Somehow I cracked the screen of the monitor from upstairs, while bringing it down!
I have no idea how I did it!.. but it's garbage now!
So I had to use this monitor, and after I got the machine going... I found out it doesn't have a WIFI adapter!
So I ordered a USB WIFI adapter, but it won't be here until tomorrow.

The machine is very small, but seems nice enough.
You can still take off the cover and there are spaces to add storage and RAM to it, so in that sense, it's still a, "tower."
And it's got a good cooling fan, with a little duct that blows it over the CPU, so I'm not worried about it overheating.
But I'm not gonna mess with it any further until it's got WIFI.

It looks like a go for the wood chipper tomorrow!
It's out there in the shed, and I have the gas and oil for it.
And there's nothing else going on right now... the grass is slowly growing, and the irrigation system's doing it's thing.
The utility space is ready, and the wood rack is waiting.
All my groceries are here, and I have enough beer and smokes that I won't have to leave the house for anything tomorrow.
So... it's finally time to take down that juniper!.. last of the great eyesores!
