Sketchy Monday
Monday, June 12th, 2023 11:25 amSlightly warmer today at 61F, and a few breaks in the cloud cover, but still pretty breezy out there.
Two bags of grass seed, and more quick connects come today.
I'll need those quick connects before I can mow.
Right now, the hose to the birch site, and the first timer off the hose bib are directly screwed on. But, I should have one left over for the music room hose bib, in case I do use it down the line.
------------{=0=}------------
I tried to pay the HELOC today, but something's screwed up at BMO.
I only have the option to make, "Monthly Payment" but when I try to do that it says the payment is some $13,000.00... which is more than the entire balance.
And if I hit, continue, it says, "I can't do this because the payment is more than the balance!"
Well, yeah!
I'm not sure what to do about this.
It's not due until the 19th, so I could wait to see if they fix the issue.
But if it's not fixed, I either call them, or just let it lapse and take care of it next month?.. if they've fixed the problem?.. I dunno!
It could be that the time of reckoning is coming... where I have to officially assume the mortgage. And that'd throw off my credit store a lot!
We'll see!
------------{=0=}------------
I think this week's gonna be about seeding, mowing, cutting that root down in Victor's yard, and prepping for the wood chipper.
I still need to get the oil and fill up the gas can.
And, of course, set up the wood rack, on Thursday or Friday.
But with any luck, I'll be cutting down that juniper by the end of the week!

7:16PM
It was a fine little shift at work, but then I had to fight rush hour traffic to get garbage stickers for those lawn bags... so that slowed me down.
Then, back at home, my grass seed wasn't here!
The quick connects were delivered, however.
So I did attach them to everything that needed one... including the small area sprinkler head, and the hose bib out by the music room... and I have two to spare!
But then I started feeling raindrops, and... even if it doesn't rain much, the cloud cover is making it too dark to really do anything out there.
Amazon says the grass seed will be here by 10PM, so... we'll see! It could wind up never arriving at all!

Natalie has some leaves that are getting slightly yellow, so I got worried and double checked online.
I was only supposed to water once a day for the first three weeks, but... if you can believe it... I've had her NINE WEEKS now!
So, I did reprogram the timer out there on the fly to water Zone 2B only once every three days (as recommended at this stage) but I moved the bubbler off her mound just in case it still runs tonight.
--<>--
However, I may be cutting the water supply down in the basement tonight, if it does end up raining.
The forecast is calling for rain tomorrow too, but... you never know if it's really gonna happen!
Either way, hopefully I will have corrected things before Natalie loses any leaves.
------------{=0=}------------
I got that new credit card today... with the $4000.00 limit, and I activated it.
Haven't used it yet, but I think I'll use it for the chainlink fence stuff... which should run about $150.00.
------------{=0=}------------
I also watched a few videos of people running the wood chipper I bought, and wrote down the type of oil I'll need... 4 stroke automotive detergent oil: SAE 10W-30 SJ or SL... whatever the fuck that all means.
------------{=0=}------------
So... things are a little sketchy, here at the start of the week...
Not sure what's going on with the HELOC.
Not sure if my damn grass seed is ever gonna be delivered.
Not sure if it's gonna rain or not, tonight and tomorrow.
Not sure where I'm gonna get the oil for the chipper.
But I did get my garbage stickers, and my quick connects, so... something got done!
