Flashbacks

snoozefestaudio72F and sunny this morning. All three pets accounted for. The cotton is still flying around out there like crazy.
The universe is forcing my hand, as far as grass seed goes... I'm gonna stop at Home Depot and get some tonight on the way back from Cloud.
It's supposed to be sunny and 83F tomorrow, but then it'll rain on Sunday.
So, I can't just sit around doing nothing tomorrow, and then let it rain on a partially seeded yard on Sunday.
I have all the stuff, including batteries for the timers and the seed spreader. Tomorrow's the perfect day to seed, and then set it all up and test the system out... so it can be ready to go on Monday, after the rain.
I also need lawn bags for all the crap I raked off the hill.

I've also placed the order for the wood rack this morning. $70.00 after tax and shipping. It'll be here on Thursday.
So... seeding and new system tomorrow... then mowing on Monday.
Then next week will be about making room for the chipper in the shed, and the wood rack on the hill. I'll also need to get gas and oil for the chipper.
And the weekend of the 17th & 18th should finally be about cutting down trees!

I was also having a closer look at the chainlink fence back there last night after cutting down the stump.
If there's time this weekend, I may get a start on that as well... cutting out an old sapling stump growing through it, with the sawzall... and then removing the damage section, and merging the good sections.
Then I measure for how much new chainlink I need and order that.

Only one play so far today on last nights installment of Analog Nights. I guess the hype is dying down.
Reviewing that year thus far, I'm struck by a few things.
Sabrina and I were basically forced together by the guy Brian N. and his wife Jen.
Brian N. was in the band at the time, and Sabrina was a friend of Jen's, and they worked both sides of it, talking each of us up to the other, and then bringing both of us out to eat with them so we could meet.
Sabrina was living with her grandma. Her parents were divorced. Her dad had started a new family. Her mom was just... living by herself for some reason.
But her gramdma was all for our relationship, if it could get Sabrina out of her trailer... which it did! She moved in with me here, and then we moved out the next spring and lived together for three years.
But like... she wasn't really what I was looking for. I just kinda let these other people railroad me into something.
Also, I had saved up $1000.00 for recording equipment, but instead of buying myself a nice digital 8-track recorder, I bought two analog 4-tracks, so that I could give one to Brian, my brother!
I did that because I knew if I had recording equipment and he didn't, he'd be insanely jealous, or beg to borrow my machine and then never give it back!
So I only had a crappy four track, and then it was difficult to find time to use it because I was in this new relationship that I didn't want to be in!
I was such a pussy back in those days!
That is why in the present day, I am so driven to get projects done, and do them myself!
And it's also why I'm single, and have no friends left!
Because friends, and women were always holding me back, forcing me to do things I didn't want to do, and wasting all my time!
