More Bullshit

I think it was a week ago, on Wednesday, August 31st, that I was in my employers main office listening to hold music from HR, about the, "Event Reason," glitch that was preventing me from submitting some simple, but critical forms before I could begin work.

Now, a week later, only after texting my manager to ask about the issue, because I haven't heard anything since last Thursday, she said, "We spoke with someone earlier today to get them to resubmit the onboarding for you, but they were unable to give an ETA. We're hoping soon."

Wow! Nice of HR to finally answer the phone after a week! Also nice that nobody there can be bothered to do the one click of a mouse that it would take to fix this problem and instead, said they might do something at no specified time in the future!

Also very considerate of my supervisor not to update me about any of this until I asked about it!

You can almost smell what's going to happen next!.. HR is going to finally look at this and say... "Well... he's more than a week overdue on filling out these forms so... that's a violation so... he is no longer eligible for the position!"

Meanwhile, I've been getting the runaround from my Dad's homeowners insurance (All State) about the fallen mulberry tree in the back yard... which has now been laying there for four days.

After I filed the claim yesterday, some bitch called me back saying I needed to upload pictures, but... based just on my brief description, she was calling it an act of nature, and said they probably wouldn't be paying for the neighbor's fence damage.

I asked if they were going to send out a claims adjuster. She said no! No point in paying anybody to come out when it's just an act of nature.

I asked if they were going to get rid of the tree for us.

She said that would be a separate claim.

I asked her to open the second claim, please!

Went online later to look at both claims but they were not visible yet!

Went online today and the second claim she opened for getting rid of the tree had already been CLOSED!

WHAT?

So, online I submitted a NEW claim, and then uploaded photos to both claims and connected them both to a bank account for any payment they may make to us... then found the name and number of Dad's actual agent... but it was too late to call her by then.

Meanwhile, the neighbor behind us was texting me, asking what's going on with it.

I texted him back telling him they're trying not to do anything at all, and I'm still fighting them!

So, that bullshit will definitely drag on into tomorrow, and it's highly likely that All State isn't gonna do jack shit about anything!

So... ya gotta love the corporate culture of 2022!.. HR departments that won't help people who've already been hired start their jobs... which is HR's, main job!..

And big name insurance agencies like All State, collecting monthly payments from my Dad for SIXTY years, without a single claim, but when a disaster happens they shrug their shoulders like, "What are WE supposed to do about it?"

I know none of this has anything to do with field recording, but...

How am I supposed to remove that goddam tree all by myself if I don't have a job?

Somebody's got to fucking budge here!
