Edging and Humiliation

23F tonight, and holding, with clear skies.

Yesterday, a congressional attempt to extend the deadline for the TikTok ban failed, thanks to Senator Tom Cotton from Arkansas... because... Arkansas.

And people were expecting the Supreme Court to issue their ruling on the contituionality of the ban today, but... while they did release some rulings, they've remained silent on the TikTok case.

And then, slowly over the day, word developed that the Biden Administration has decided to simply not enforce the ban, when it hit's on Sunday... purportedly saying that since it'll be a holiday weekend, with an Inauguration happening, it makes more sense to just let the Trump administration decide what to do about things.

And there's also now a rumor that Trump has invited the CEO of TikTok to his inauguration... presumably because he to has chosen not to enforce the ban.

But this was only Thursday, so there's still Friday and Saturday left to go, before the ban's deadline of SUN 19.

And... since last weekend began... a span like two days has become an eternity of time where anything can happen!

So, I won't be writing again until Saturday, and we'll see where we are by then.

But tonight it seems like, nobody other than Tom Cotton wants anything to do with the TikTok ban!

Not the rest of the Senate... not the Supreme Court... nor Joe Biden... nor Donald Trump!

I think the speculation that all involved fully expected TikTok to simply sell the app to an American corporation... is probably correct.

And I also think the government's been embarrassed to death by the Red Note development... with millions of Americans understanding, for the first time in their lives, just how far we've fallen behind the Chinese!

I think many of the politicians themselves have been shocked to learn how backward and sad we now look by comparison...

In education... technology... economy... infrastructure... housing... health care... transportation... etc.

As well as... in general human decency!.. Like, they're NOT a bunch of rude-ass cunts trying to stab each other, and everybody else, in the back every minute of the day, like we are!

They're... CIVILIZED!

I mean, yes... they're also very authoritarian... mysogynistic... racist... and have zero tolerance for LGBTQ behavior.

And they'll disappear any musician or artist who dares to express a thought that isn't thoroughly vetted by the party!

So, we shouldn't get carried away, here!

But we're not exactly blowing them out of the water on any of those fronts, either!

We only tolerate women, non-whites, LGBTQ, and artists, very grudgingly!

But meanwhile, you've got Trump's team talking about disbanding the Department of Education, and cutting funding to every other thing that would give us any HOPE of catching up to them, in terms of actual national greatness!

So, I DO think this Red Note development has got them all feeling very humbled, and reevaluating all their long term goals!

As I've said before, we only had a utopian middle class era, through the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, because we were competing with Russia to prove which system was superior... capitalism, or communism!

And with the fall of the Berlin Wall, those in power assumed that competition had been won forever, and for them, it was the green light to dismantle that middle class and go full fucking feudalism on us!

And it's only in this moment... this past week... that they must be realizing... that game has to end!

Because there still is a competition with communism going on... and now the American people not only know that we're losing it by a landslide... but we're actually cozying up to the Chinese like, Help us! Save us!

They have to realize that if they take one more step down the road to feudalism, we're just gonna pre-emptively surrender to the Chinese, and start calling for them to come liberate us!

It's long been said, the US is impossible to invade.

But that was always assuming we didn't want to be!

And one now does have to wonder if all the mind-bending orbs and drones that captured our attention all through December... which are still out there now... really aren't Chinese!

I mean... it's been eight long years since we had a competent White House, capable of keeping tabs on anything!

What if they DID stumble onto some huge breakthrough in physics that we've been totally oblivous to?

I mean... it wouldn't be the first time the Chinese did that, right?

Paper, anybody?

Gunpowder, anybody?

Something to ponder as your dental and healthcare claims are denied, and you're struggling to afford produce & bread... while looking up at strange glowing orbs in the sky that our government says not to worry about... because they don't understand them, themselves.

So, like I said, two days is an eternity right now, and it's anybody's guess where this is all really going!

But this remains a very pivotal moment!
