I learned on Friday, I'm back to doing Sunday building checks indefinitely.

Apparently Cezar has paid down some debts and no longer needs the extra cash, so he's still doing Saturdays, but now I've gotta step up as the Sunday guy.

And that's fine... with double time pay, it brings my monthly gross from $3,528.00 up to $3,880.00.

And I don't have any pets right now to miss me, so it's really about making the most of a fleeting 2-day weekend, with that annoying 2 hours in there on Sunday.

So yesterday I slept in, and got a 95 sleep score! Best yet!

I was up by 2PM, just in time for Ponyta community day in Pokemon Go... where both the original Ponyta, and Galarian Ponyta were spawning.

I played from the desk here, for a couple hours, while sipping my coffee to wake up, and painting... which was pretty great!

Then I went out at 4PM to walk around in the final hour of the event, and did manage to catch a shiny of each type of Ponyta before it ended at 5PM.

After that I vacuumed... which I'm permanently assigning as a Saturday chore, because it actually goes pretty fast, in this little place.

It was beer-thirty by the time I was done, so I lit all my candles and sat back down to paint for another three hours until 8:30, when it was nice and dark out, and I walked down to Foremost Liqors for some smokes.

Foremost, two blocks west, is a much faster, easier walk than the BP, three blocks east, and uphill.

By 9PM, I was in for the night, drinking, painting, and writing, until bedtime.

So I consider any Saturday a good one, now, if I take at least one walk, but never get in the car.

Today I was up by noon, which was great, because it meant I had more time.

As soon as the coffee was made, I was out the door.

I got both beer and gas on the way to the high school.

And then after clocking in, made use of the time by cleaning all my car windows, inside and out... and taking out the carbage.

The windows were getting really murky on the inside, because of the smoke breaks in the car.

So now I'll have a nice crystal clear view on my drives home after dark, for a while.

After my two hours was up, I went straight to Aldi... which I do every Sunday, but after getting the groceries, I could go straight home, because I'd already gotten my beer and gas.

Back at the building, I brought the three grocery bags up, then put the car in the garage, an wheeled the beer back with me.

Now the groceries are put away, and... it's not even 5PM!

8:10PM

I'm all clean & shiny, and my laundry's in the washer... a full hour earlier than I normally even start that routine.

I started early because I had to shave my head tonight, and it was my first use of the new clippers, which did a great job!

Unlike the old ones, the new clippers can actually be used cordlessly, which makes shaving my head a lot less of a hassle!

10:47PM

Laundry came back a while ago.

I did throw out all my dubious socks tonight, but there were still five old pairs in good shape.

So I kept them, but they've been archived!

They're hiding in the shirt drawer, out of rotation.

It'll be two weeks before all my new socks have been worn and washed one time... so that's the day the clock starts on the cloud experiment.

I will be randomly pairing them up after that, so how long will it take for 24 of them to dwindle down to 13... either by vanishing, or forming holes?

Once I'm to 13 gray socks, I'll order more, and use a pair from the archive to cover day seven of that week.

At Aldi today, I actually bought some strawberries!

It's the first time I've bought fruit in... like, a decade!

If I eat them all this week, I'll add bananas to the fruit list next week.

I used to eat tons of fruit, back when I took care of myself.

But that all went out the window when I took on the job of caring for Dad... and Yvette, after she came along.

I don't foresee myself on any kind of actual, diet anytime soon, but today was the first time I actually felt a craving for the strawberries... so I decided to go with it.

New watch, new socks, and the new clippers are so easy to use I may start shaving my head every week, along with my beard!

Imagine that, and eating fruit too!

Next thing you know, I may finally get back to the dentist!

But it's all baby-steps right now.

After doing that math earlier, with the income boost from building checks on Sundays... I got to thinking about AutumnWood again.

I'm two years with Geostaff today!.. and there will be a raise in the next year.

Fate may have other things in mind for me, but I did daydream a bit about re-applying next spring, and being able to tell Dan that my, situation was truly sound!

like, I'm coming up on 3 years with GeoStaff now, Dan, and I'm making four times the rent for a 1BR at A-Wood.

The job is secure... my credit score's above average... my current landlord loves me... and best of all... both my parents are dead and buried!

Never again, will their failing health, or disasterous financial decisions threaten... my situation!

So whaddya say?

Still, there is the PNC loan to grapple with.

I just paid them tonight, for September, and it won't be a problem until the cushion's gone.

Maybe I should think about moving my money over to 5/3rd bank and then restructuring that PNC debt, like the lady at Debt Blue was advising, way back last year.

I'll have to look into that this fall.

If I can get on top of it before my cushion runs out, that'll put me in a better position next spring to either upgrade to a 1BR here, or move to AutumnWood.

Okay, the last thing I want to scribble down here to remind myself later, is that this whole weekend an old song I wrote, entitled, "Tanya," has been in my head.

Lyrically, it was pre-weed, and therefore, pretty childish.

But musically, I think it'd make a really fun instrumental, and I want to piano-roll it in FL Studio soon!

Still waiting for summer's heat to break and leave me in peace to record vocals.

Could be two more weeks before I'm there.

I think my experience here in the studio, over the fall and winter... recording, and going through all the holidays, post house... is gonna play as big a factor as finances, in deciding whether I stay here, or move to A-Wood.

The tower is the better place to be for recording, so if the experience is fulfilling this fall and winter, and I'm actually getting some plays in the spring... then I might want to reach for the 1BR here.

If it's not that fulfilling, and the holidays have me missing the ground-based neighborhood life, then I'll be more likely to try for AutumnWood.

But for now... just waiting out the horrible heat of this nasty, never-ending summer.
