snoozefestaudioSo I started the ball rolling on my background check today and will be taking a drug test tomorrow... followed by fingerprinting on Tuesday... because I'm gonna be working at a school, so it's wonderful they vet people this hard for schools.
But this is gonna be a 3PM to 7PM job... so I don't even start until the building's cleared out for the day, and I'll be working alone... which is GREAT!
It's just 20 hours a week... nice little part time janitor gig! I LOVE IT!

Meanwhile, fool's fall is fading!
It was actually sunny and hot today. And tonight it's finally holding in the 70sF with no wind!
I'm hearing leaf tappers out the window right now as I write, at 11PM, and that's a first, for this late at night!
The S8 is up there in the canopy, right now, hopefully capturing some useable footage of noctournal leaf tappers for the first time.

Nice thing about the new job is, since I don't start until 3PM, it means I can continue to be up until late! Hell!.. I could stay up until 6AM and still get eight hours of sleep before work!
That means my dawn recordings are still on the table.
And I actually need to start thinking about starting dawn recording trials pretty soon!

But just knowing I've got a new job, and will have a steady bit of income to rely on, has really lifted my mood!
I can feed the cats and make my car payment! I can keep data on my phone! I can keep up the twice annual payments on the SoundCloud!
