Final Boss Battle

75F and cloudy this morning... only going up to 84F today.
5 Clubs week also begins today.
A year ago; SUN JUL 16 2023, I was getting ready to send BMO Dad's death certificate, and the deed documents, to get some kind of dialogue started about dealing with the overdue HELOC balloon.
Here I am a year later waiting for Tim to get authorization papers notarized and sent today, so I can close on selling the house I've already moved out of.
Luckily he just texted, asking to confirm the address of the lawyer on Lake Street, which means he's on task this morning, so that's a relief.
Prowly's food from yesterday was eaten, so as the hot water ran, I left him some new moist food.
Also took the garbage bins to the curb, as there was garbage in both of them.
Then it was off to work.
The news of the day is that Tim came through and got all his docs notarized and overnighted to the lawyer on Lake Street... so they'll arrive at 10AM tomorrow morning!
He may have been the last one to complete the task, but his papers may be the first to arrive!
Mr. Taylor reimbursed him $93.00 for the notary and shipping fees.
And I'd love to say that's that!... BUUUT...
Taylor said today that that title company he fired, also failed to get a payout agreement for the HELOC, from BMO!
They got one for the main mortgage, and told Mr. Taylor that they'd done both... but they somehow forgot the HELOC!
So his new title company is in the process of obtaining that all important agreement as we speak, and after THAAAT... we can finally close!
I asked him if he anticipated any trouble with BMO about that final agreement.
At first he said no... but then he said he did see in the notes of the original Title company that BMO had expressed some reservations about the fact that the house had never been through probate.
He reasoned that since that wasn't an issue with the payout agreement for the main mortgage, it shouldn't be an issue with the HELOC agreement.
However, Taylor also said if they did try to make trouble... there are ways to deal with it!
So... Mr. Taylor seems to think, one way or another, he can get the house out of BMO's talons!
And I'd love to put blind faith in that, but his first choice for a title company did prove to be rank amateaurs!
He was smart enough to let them go, I'll give him that!.. but he hasn't yet had the final boss battle with BMO!
So, can he really do it?
I feel like Taylor's got a better chance of defeating BMO, than anybody else I could've gone with.
He's quick, and smart, and he's got heart!
And his HP stats are pretty good!
But what are his attack stats?
And does he know?.. or can he learn?.. the super-effective move needed to knock BMO out of the ring?
We'll just have to wait and see!
I, and my siblings, have now done everything we can do for the situation.
This really is, all up to Mr. Taylor now.
My highest challenge, for a year now, has been to get that house out of BMO's talons!
Even now, that I've moved out of it, and learned that I never truly owned it... after racking up so much debt... and taking so much of the time and money I spent on that place as a loss... and parting ways with my pets!..
I need BMO to give up that house!
As the primary executor of the estate!..
And in the name of Daniel Donavan!..
The Bank of Montreal, must not prevail!
I'm the one who picked the knight to fight the battle.
And that final battle's now in the offing.
If he loses... well it just wasn't winnable!
Blame Mike & Barb for handing it over to the British Crown, but not me!
However, if he wins?..
That's everything!
Even if I can't buy it back... if Mr. Taylor succeeds in closing this sale... I get some money, there's no foreclosure on my record, and BMO is out of the picture forever!
I could die peacefully knowing at least that!
