Wet Wednesday

36F and raining today.

It's still a slushy icy mess out there... it's just getting slowly more watery.

The front walk to the stoop is finally clear of ice and snow now, so I can do an instacart order tonight, thank goodness.

But legacy ice still remains on the main walk.

Meanwhile, on the brick path... despite the salt, the ice has been slow to melt.

And the snow is still very much on the ground... just getting mushier.

In Pokemon battle terms, this rain is, "not very effective."

My walk with Yvette this morning was, again, slightly less treacherous than last nights, which was slightly less treacherous than the day before.

And the roads, of course, have all been cleared by now.

But my god!.. that ice that formed on the sidewalk must've been tempered like steel by the week long deep freeze.

No shovel can pierce it. No salt can melt it. And the rain falling on top of it is just cooling down and pooling on top of it like... well... ice water!
