Negative 7F out there, at 2PM, but sunny.

I was too busy to write yesterday, but I did get the path lights working...

The new transformer is much nicer and easy to mount. I got the wires out of the way with some of those hooks I'd bought for the studio.

My only issue was the placement of the photosensor... seen here going out a hole by the door.

But that turned out to be way too close to the bulkhead light, so the lights stayed off after dark.

I had to move it to the south facing wall... out in the cold and wind, when it was already getting close to zero.

But, thank God, that fixed the issue.

They turned on, and today they turned off at sunrise.

I was doing a lot of last minute cold proofing as the temperature dropped last night... getting down to seven below by the time I went to bed.

But today, as I said, it's still seven below and... it's not bad in the house!

I'm in the back room right now, and... yes, the space heater's been running all night, and... no, it's not hot back here, but it's not too bad.

The rest of the house is doing fine.

The kitchen is surprisingly warm, as is the downstairs bathroom, and the studio, at least last night was still warm even with the basement door open.

The living room and upstairs are kinda toasty.

Meanwhile the water is still running everywhere.

So... so far so good!

Last night I started in with, other friends in the studio, and there's still some work to do with that one, and after that I'll get, misfortune going.

Today should be the first day I'm not running around dealing with cold proofing, so I should get more done.

But I do have to run out for smokes at some point.
