Sloppy Friday

34F and raining at the moment.

I was up until 4:30AM doing the video for, Right Where You Left Me, by which time huge flakes of snow were falling fast out there, thickly upon everything.

I slept until goddam 2:30 today, but when I looked out the window, things didn't look much different from 5AM.

But when I got outside with Yvette, I realized why... because it was now raining on top of all that fluffy snow... packing it down and making it melt a bit.

My driveway approach was plowed in with boulders of slush and crust, and I never did shovel the walks or the stoops so I knew I had to address that first thing, because of the brutal cold that's coming.

My snow shovel was still in the shed so I had to get that out.

It was like shoveling wet concrete to clear the walks and the approach... but there was a layer of ice below everything, so I realized I was gonna need salt.

Luckily driving conditions weren't bad, and nearby Ace hardware did have salt, so I grabbed four 20LB bags there, and got some beer on the way back.

Now I'm just taking a break.

Not sure if I should salt now, or wait until the rain stops... which could take until tomorrow.

But I still need to install the heating wires on the bathroom pipes, which was the only thing I was thinking about when I first woke up.

Okay, well it took a couple hours, but I got the heating wires installed on the pipes and got them insulated.

I made a TikTok about it as well.

Then after walking Yvette, I sat down here in the back room to do the next video of the Coffeehouse Boyfriend album...

Brian's gonna call in about 15 minutes... so we'll talk for hours I'm sure.

Tomorrow I'll salt, and get those path lights working, and then get back into the studio.
