54 and overcast, with patchy rain today. InstaCart was on the stoop when we went outside... dry cat food, paper towels, toilet paper, and coffee.
I finally met and talked to one of the young guys from across the block who hops the fence to cut through my back yard. His name is Axle.
I told him I grew up here and me & my friends used to hop the same fence... and that it was okay and I didn't mind.
He did ask how old Yvette was, and if I lived here alone so... I hope he wasn't getting intel for a break in. You know how teenagers are!
But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, because they are neighbors.
I also finally removed the cardboard from the rear back room windows today.
And I'm running the space heater, rather than the air conditioner.
Things are back to where they were in April.
The outlook for the next four days isn't as rainy as it was.
We'll have rain tomorrow, but then it's just partly cloudy all the way until everybody leaves on the 23rd.
Upper 50sF to low 60sF.
Lows in the 40sF.
I've got four days to clean the entire house, and finish, print, and bind six copies of house history.
The idea is to clean during the day and work on the book at night.
Everything from Amazon comes either today or tomorrow, for both projects.
I'm beginning to sense that I may wind up moving more furniture around as part of this big cleaning project.
There's no point in having the twin bed back here. It'd work better in the studio, if somebody wants to sleep over, or to deaded the sound in there if I'm singing.
And I'd kinda like to move my actual computer desk and chair down here... and my good computer I haven't used all year.
I dunno... maybe I should wait until I can afford to get the gas heater fixed... and redo the floors... and the windows... etc.
Well, I said, "fuck it," and left early tonight!
I got everything done as fast as possible and I clocked out at 10PM!
