Both Windows Glazed

82F this afternoon... way too hot for October 3rd! I woke at 11:15, and sat staring out the front window at the leaves falling off the hackberry tree out front. They're a faded yellow green, and flying all over the place.
It's making the webbing on the front bushes look spookier though!
After sitting out back with the pets for a while, I had to change out puppy pads in the music room. Yvette had used them overnight... which is extremely rare these days. But... that's what they're for.
They went into the bin with the rest of the garbage I took out last night, and then I took the bins to the curb.
Another episode of Amateur Hour then played out on the porch, as I glazed Window A...

I'd done the tops first, because they're the widest gaps, but I made three mistakes.
- I did all four at once.
- I had the fan going, because it was hot.
- I knocked over my coffee thermos and had to clean up spilled coffee on the tarp.
What this did, was allow all four fat beads of glaze to start forming a skin before I could try to smooth any of them out.
So When I did go to smooth them out... let's say it did not go very well. They look awful.
But after that, I turned off the fan and did the side and bottom beads for each pane, one at a time, and... they still look wonky, but no worse than for Window B.
At any rate, now that both storms are glazed, I'm stuck in, "wait and see," mode the rest of this week about almost everything.
The FICO score hasn't updated. I also won't be able to see my new pay rate reflected at the employee portal online until we're further into the pay period... to make sure they kept their word.
And Colleen & Justin tried to sign the quit claim yesterday, but their public library only notarizes things until 4:30PM, so they missed the window.
We do not get Columbus Day off!
Glad I found this out today, and then I remembered that last year, yes, I worked. The students get it off but not us!
No three day weekend!
But I think I can still get the storms up [knocks wood].
In the mailbox today was the first pre-approved credit card offer I've gotten in a few months.
That was a good sign, but unfortunately I can't take the inquiry hit to my FICO score right now.
In related news, Colleen & Justin did get the quit claim notarized and signed today, and sent it off Priority Mail.
They got to the post office too late to overnight it.
So at least it's on the way back to me.
But I'll have to sign and notarize it too... then take it to City Hall for another transfer stamp... which will take a week... and then go record it with the county!
So... still a ways off from applying for that home loan!.. but I'm one step closer tonight.
The Dynaflex also came today...

But the bastards sent me light gray, when I ordered dark gray!
So, I'll just have to work with it.
No other news tonight.
I'm just glad that Tuesday is over.
